We are seeking experienced Trade Waiters to join our front-of-house team. These roles suit hospitality professionals with strong table-service skills, sound food and wine knowledge, and the ability to deliver a polished and personable dining experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare dining areas before service, including setting tables with appropriate cutlery, glassware, crockery and linen.
- Welcome and seat guests, present menus and explain the available dining options.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods and dietary options.
- Recommend dishes, wines and other beverages according to guests’ preferences and the restaurant’s offerings.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system and communicate requests clearly to the kitchen and bar.
- Manage an allocated section, coordinating orders and maintaining appropriate timing between courses.
- Deliver professional food and beverage service using correct plate-carrying, tray-handling and table-service techniques.
- Present, open and serve wines using appropriate glassware and service procedures.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and other service staff to ensure meals and beverages reach guests promptly.
- Monitor guest satisfaction,



anticipate service needs and address concerns professionally, referring matters to management when required.
- Communicate allergies and dietary requirements accurately and follow established procedures.
- Clear tables discreetly, replace cutlery and glassware, and reset dining spaces efficiently.
- Prepare bills and process payments accurately.
- Monitor service supplies and assist with replenishing glassware, linen, cutlery and other stock.
- Support junior employees and current team members in following service standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, food hygiene, responsible service of alcohol and workplace safety practices throughout service.

About You

- Previous experience as a Trade Waiter or in a comparable professional restaurant service role.
- Strong knowledge of food, wine and professional table-service standards.
- Experience managing a section during busy restaurant service.
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, attentive approach to guests.
- Confidence using POS and reservation systems.
- Relevant RSA certification.
- Strong teamwork, organisation and attention to detail.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
