About the Role:
We are seeking a General Medicine Registrar for a locum placement at a major regional referral hospital in Burnie, TAS. This contract runs from 30 November to 13 December 2026, with both day and night shifts available. You will join a hospital of approximately 160 beds serving communities across North West Tasmania, gaining broad clinical exposure across a diverse general medicine case mix within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
- Assess and manage acute general medicine admissions and inpatients
- Provide clinical care across a broad range of medical presentations
- Participate in ward rounds, case reviews and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Support referral and transfer coordination for patients requiring tertiary-level care
- Collaborate with senior medical staff, nursing and allied health teams
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

About You:
- AHPRA registered Medical Practitioner
- Currently practising at Registrar level in General Medicine
- Confident managing a broad range of acute medical presentations
- Works effectively both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
- Eligible to work in Australia
