About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Principal Communications Advisor to support a major transport infrastructure program on the Gold Coast.

This role will provide strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and issues management advice, ensuring effective community engagement and positive stakeholder relationships throughout project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement stakeholder engagement and communications strategies.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, community consultation and engagement activities.
- Identify and manage emerging issues, risks and media trends.
- Provide strategic advice on stakeholder risk and reputation management.
- Prepare executive correspondence, ministerial briefs, reports and briefing notes.
- Build strong relationships with government agencies, industry partners and community organisations.

About You

- Demonstrated experience in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement.




- Experience working within major infrastructure or transport projects.
- Strong understanding of community engagement and public consultation practices.
- Excellent written communication skills, including executive and ministerial correspondence.
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and sensitive issues.
- Strong judgement and the ability to provide strategic advice in a rapid-paced environment.

Desirable: Qualifications in communications, journalism or stakeholder engagement. IAP2 or equivalent community engagement training will be highly regarded.
