About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Finance Manager. The role leads CITB’s finance, investment and cash management functions, while providing oversight of risk management, records management, procurement, contract management and business services. This is a broad and influential role, providing high-quality financial insight and supporting sound organisational decision-making.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare the Finance Report for Board papers in line with Board meeting schedule

- Prepare monthly management reports and annual financial reports in accordance with statutory requirements and accounting standards

- Monitor and report financial performance against budgets and strategic targets

- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes

- Manage cash flow, investments, and reserves including working capital in line with policy

- Oversee controls for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll

- Review and approve general ledger balances and reconciliations

- Provide financial modelling and analysis to support organisational decisions, including employment costs

- Oversee risk management, records management, procurement, contract management and business services





- Ability to manage team members across different administration areas

About you

- Previous experience in the preparation of Budget, Cashflow Management and Monthly Financial Statements

- Uses a high level of initiative and autonomy in delivering high-quality outcomes

- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills

- High-level analytical skills in financial forecasting, and strategic reporting

- Collaborative and adaptable, with a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to work across varying styles and changing priorities

- Proven ability to handle information of a confidential nature, within relevant guidelines and protocol

- Flexibility to work as a team member and/or function autonomously

- Manage own time effectively

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office, including Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint, with experience managing databases and multitasking in a dynamic setting
