Tecon Australia is a leading building surveying and certification company operating across South Australia, the Northern Territory and Western Australia. We offer private certification services and extensive consultancy services to local government.

We currently have a full-time position available in our South Australian team for a Building Surveyor. We are also happy to consider Building Surveyors at any stage of their career who are looking for a new opportunity including cadet training options.

Key Duties:

• Undertake all forms of BCA assessment within your level of expertise for both private and local government clients

• Undertake building inspections on behalf of councils or our private clients

• Deliver a broad range of consultancy services to our client base

• Be part of a large local team with the prospect to explore statewide and national projects

• Further develop your technical skills

• Liaise with councils and authorities as required

Skills & Experience:

• Currently accredited (or able to obtain)



Building Surveyor Level 1 - 4 or currently studying to obtain accreditation

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Acts and Regulations

• A demonstrated 'can-do' attitude with a solution-focused approach for clients

• A commitment to ongoing professional development

• Ability to effectively negotiate and resolve disputes

• Strong ability to write and present cohesive, coherent and technically sound reports

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills

• Experience in either local government or private practice

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic databases
