About the Role

We are seeking experienced and reliable female Disability Support Workers to provide 1:1 individual support to a 27 year old female participant in Morphett Vale.

The participant has complex support needs and behaviours of concern. This role requires someone who is calm, confident, patient and experienced in responding to challenging situations while maintaining a secure and respectful environment.

You will work independently, following established routines and Behaviour Support Plans while supporting the participant with daily living activities, personal care and emotional regulation.

Due to the nature of personal care supports and the participant's expressed preferences, female support workers are required for this position.

Shifts Available

- Morning shifts

- Afternoon shifts continuing into passive sleepovers

- Weekday and weekend opportunities

We are looking for workers who can commit to regular shifts and provide consistency in the participant's support arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide individualised 1:1 support in accordance with the participant's needs and preferences.

- Assist with personal care, daily living activities, meal preparation and household tasks.

- Implement Behaviour Support Plans and approved support strategies.

- Recognise early signs of distress and respond using appropriate de-escalation techniques.

- Support emotional regulation, positive routines and community participation.

- Maintain professional boundaries and a safe support environment.





- Complete accurate progress notes, incident reports and other required documentation.

- Promote the participant's dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.

What We Are Looking For

- Demonstrated experience supporting people with complex needs and behaviours of concern.

- Experience working with Behaviour Support Plans and restrictive practices.

- A calm, confident and patient approach to challenging situations.

- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.

- Strong communication skills, including clear spoken and written English.

- Understanding of trauma informed and person centred support.

- Reliability, emotional maturity and commitment to consistent support.

- Ability to build trust and maintain positive professional relationships while respecting the participant's individual preferences.

Essential Requirements

- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support or equivalent qualification.

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.

- Current First Aid and CPR certification.

- Medication assistance training or relevant certification.

- Understanding of NDIS Code of Conduct and professional responsibilities.

- Ability to follow Behaviour Support Plans and established support procedures.

A current Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle are highly desirable.
