The College is seeking a permanent full time Science Teacher, commencing in the 2027 academic year. The successful candidate will work within the Science Faculty, under the supervision of the Head of Science, to develop and implement programs and maintain high levels of student achievement across the Science curriculum. The ability to teach all levels of Science would be an advantage.

Core Requirements

Applicants for the position of Science Teacher must demonstrate at a minimum that they:

- are a committed Christian, who is active in the life of a Bible-based Evangelical Church.

- support the College’s vision of holistic Christian education.

- conduct themselves in a manner in keeping with the College ethos and Code of Conduct at all times, modelling Christian maturity to the College community.





- have the ability to teach across Stages 4–6 of the NESA Science syllabuses to ensure that the College provides quality education to students.

- have exceptional communication and relational teaching skills.

- have knowledge of relevant compliance requirements in schools.

- hold a valid Working with Children Check in NSW (WWCC).

- are an accredited teacher with at least Conditional Teacher accreditation from NESA.

- work effectively and collaboratively in a Faculty team.

Core Responsibilities:
The Science Teacher should:

- provide effective and innovative teaching practices for teaching Science, reflecting the Christian ethos of the College, ensuring a high standard of outcomes for all students.

- manage curriculum requirements for their classes, including programs, registers, assessment, feedback, and reporting.

- manage student issues arising from their classes using the College’s positive behaviour framework and implementing relevant College protocols.

- implement College protocols and strategies.

- provide effective pastoral care to students through leading a regular House Tutor group.

- support co-curricular activities of the College.
