About us

Jorge & Co runs cafés and food services at Box Hill Hospital, Wantirna and the Peter James Centre, and caters for clients across Melbourne. Everything is prepared fresh in our Box Hill kitchen, and we are looking for a reliable Delivery Driver to get it to our sites safely and on time.

About the role

Based at Box Hill Hospital, you will receive each site's order, pick and pack it, and deliver it to our Peter James Centre and Wantirna sites in the company van. From time to time you will also deliver catering orders to clients across Melbourne. This is a pick, pack and deliver role; you will not be preparing food.

This is a casual role of about 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday. There is no weekend or public holiday work. Occasional additional hours may be offered as the business requires.

What you will do

- Receive site orders through our ordering group and confirm each one

- Pick and pack orders accurately, checking that everything is complete, labelled and dated

- Load, secure and unload the van safely, and deliver each order on time

- Keep food at the right temperature and protected during transport, and keep allergen-labelled items separate

- Collect empty crates, trays and equipment from each site and return them to Box Hill

- Deliver catering orders when required

- Check the van before each run and keep it clean, secure and well looked after

- Help with washing crates,



packing and restocking between runs

About you

- A current full Australian driver licence (not learner or probationary) with a good driving record

- Delivery, courier or hospitality experience (preferred)

- Reliable, punctual and able to work to set delivery times

- Accurate and well organised when picking and packing orders

- Valuable knowledge of Melbourne roads and confident with navigation apps

- Safety-conscious, with clear and polite communication

- A food handler or food safety certificate (preferred)

- Available Monday to Friday, including early mornings

- Able to lift and carry crates and boxes safely, using correct manual handling and trolleys

What we offer

- $34.96 per hour, which includes the 25% casual loading, under the Restaurant Industry Award 2020

- A company van for all deliveries

- Monday to Friday only, about 4 hours a day, with no weekends or public holidays

- A friendly, supportive team and a full induction
