The leadership team has been together a long time. They’re experienced, supportive and easy to work with. They’ll back you when you need it and then let you get on with it. What’s missing is someone to lead the meetings and events side and make it their own.

The business
It’s a busy corporate property with a solid events calendar. Most events run from 15 to 150 guests. Every so often something bigger and higher profile comes along that tests the whole team in the best way. The focus is corporate, so you won’t be doing weddings. The work is conferences, corporate meetings and the occasional big moment.

The role
Your time splits roughly three ways:

- Leading and developing a small team of coordinators who finalise contracts and BEOs and look after event organisers day to day.
- Running your own portfolio of events from handover to the final invoice, so clients know they’re in safe hands.
- Owning the numbers: forecasting, pace reports, yield on function space, and sitting at the table in revenue and P&L; meetings.





Strong Excel skills and experience with an events system like Delphi or Opera will help you a lot.

You might already be a Meetings & Events Manager. You might be an Assistant M&E; Manager somewhere busy who knows you’re ready for the next step and wants a place that will give you the chance. Either way, you’ve worked somewhere with serious conferencing volume. You’re organised, you follow through, and your clients trust you. You care about the people you lead and you’re comfortable with a budget.
