About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee day-to-day site operations across commercial construction projects, with a particular focus on EITHER the education sector OR medical sector.

Working closely with the Project Manager, you will take ownership of site coordination, subcontractor management, quality control and safety, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on schedule and to a high standard.

You will be a key point of contact for site personnel, subcontractors and clients, bringing strong leadership, sound decision-making and a hands-on approach to project delivery.

Tasks and Responsibilities

- Oversee daily site operations, coordinating labour, trades, materials and equipment to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Lead and manage site personnel and subcontractors, allocating tasks and monitoring performance and productivity.
- Monitor construction quality, workmanship and materials to ensure works meet project specifications and standards.
- Manage site costs, timesheets, material deliveries and purchase orders, working closely with the Project Manager to maintain budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all WHS requirements, site safety procedures and subcontractor documentation.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily progress reports, site documentation, photographs and updates to the Project Manager.

Skills and Experience

- Previous experience managing commercial construction projects, ideally within the education sector.
- A trade background or relevant construction qualifications.
- Experience using Procore and HammerTech.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, site coordination and subcontractor management.




- A solid understanding of WHS requirements and quality control.
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions under pressure.
- A positive, adaptable attitude and a genuine team-focused approach.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel between project sites as required.
