Temporary to Permanent Procurement Officer - $90,000 {Immediate start required}

I am recruiting for an established and innovative international organisation that designs and manufactures specialist products for commercial environments. With operations in Australia and internationally, the business has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation and sustainable solutions. Due to their continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join their Australian operations.

Your new role

I am creruiting for a Temporary to Permanent Procurement Officer. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for ensuring projects have the right materials, at the right price and at the right time.

Working closely with Design, Production and external suppliers, you'll review technical drawings, obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, raise purchase orders and coordinate deliveries to support just-in-time production whilst maintaining appropriate stock levels.

You'll manage supplier relationships, negotiate value, monitor materials throughout the procurement process and respond to changing project requirements, as well as playing an key role in identifying cost savings and continuous improvement opportunities to improve efficiency and protect project margins.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll have at least 2 years' experience within procurement, purchasing or supply chain, ideally gained within manufacturing, construction, fit-out or another project-based environment AND be immediately available for a temporary start.
You'll also bring:





- Experience obtaining and comparing supplier quotations and raising purchase orders
- Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
- Experience coordinating deliveries and monitoring stock levels
- The ability to read and interpret technical or shop drawings
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP, inventory or purchasing systems
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- A commercial mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across different teams

Experience within a lean or just-in-time environment, knowledge of continuous improvement principles or experience with NetSuite would be beneficial.
