Head of Risk | Financial Services Enterprise Risk | Strategic Leadership | Business Transformation

We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded Head of Risk to lead enterprise risk strategy within a dynamic financial services environment.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a forward-thinking risk professional who can balance strong governance with commercial objectives, challenge traditional approaches, and drive meaningful business outcomes.

Working closely with executive leadership, you will play a key role in shaping risk strategy, strengthening business controls and driving innovation across the risk function.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and execute enterprise risk strategy, aligning risk appetite with commercial objectives.
- Provide strategic oversight across enterprise risk, financial risk, governance and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to influence business decisions and support sustainable growth.
- Identify opportunities to simplify risk processes, improve controls and drive operational efficiencies.
- Leverage data, analytics and automation to enhance risk management and decision-making.
- Oversee risk reporting, providing transparent insights and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board.
- Drive continuous improvement and embed a commercially focused risk culture.
- Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing risk team.





About You
- 8–10+ years' experience in risk management, including senior leadership responsibilities.
- Proven experience within financial services, fintech or a similarly regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of enterprise risk management, governance, regulatory obligations and financial risk.
- Demonstrated ability to balance commercial priorities with effective risk management.
- Experience driving transformation, process improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Strong analytical capabilities with an interest in data-driven and technology-enabled risk management.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge senior leadership.
- A proactive, solutions-focused leadership style with strong commercial judgement.
