Trade Assistant - Electrical & Air Conditioning

Full-Time / Perth WA

Aircon by Design / Essex Electrics is looking for a motivated and reliable Trade Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis.

We carry out a broad range of electrical and air-conditioning work across domestic, commercial and industrial projects throughout Perth.

This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys practical work, is mechanically minded and wants the opportunity to develop skills across both the electrical and air-conditioning industries.

Previous experience is an advantage, but attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are more important to us.

About the Role

Working alongside our qualified electricians and air-conditioning technicians, your duties will include:

• Assisting with the installation of split and ducted air-conditioning systems
• Assisting electricians with electrical installation works
• Running and assisting with the installation of cables, conduit and associated services
• Assisting with ductwork, pipework and air-conditioning equipment
• Mounting equipment, brackets and supports
• Loading, unloading and organising tools and materials
• Assisting with servicing, maintenance and fault-finding activities
• General workshop and site duties
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Working across a variety of domestic, commercial and industrial projects





The successful applicant will work under the direction and supervision of our qualified tradespeople and will not be expected to independently carry out licensed electrical work.

• Holds a current WA driver's licence
• Has reliable transport

Experience and Tickets

The following would be an advantage but are not essential:

• Previous electrical or air-conditioning experience
• Previous Trade Assistant or construction experience
• Construction White Card
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Working at Heights training
• EWP ticket
• Previous commercial or industrial site experience

No previous air-conditioning experience is necessary for the right person.
