This is an excellent prospect for someone who is keen to start a career in healthcare administration and develop their skills in a supportive, patient-focused workplace.This position is a 12 month traineeship, gaining a Certificate III in Business while at work.The duties for this role include, but are not limited to:Greeting patients face to face and over the phoneReception skills and support for doctorsScheduling appointmentsOpen and distribute incoming mailIssue patient invoices/receipts and bulk bill as requiredMaintain reception area in a tidy and welcoming mannerUndertake other duties as required from time to time as directed by the practice manager, nurses and doctors.The ideal candidate will:Be compassionate and professionalEnjoy interacting with people on the phone and in personWell presented in an office settingWork well in a team but also able to work independentlyBe able to follow protocolBe competent with Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookHave enthusiasm to learn recent skillsHold a drivers licence
