Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies

- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Qualified Trade Test Certificate as a Fitter (Section 13 red seal).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Beneficiation Plant Maintenance Environment.
- Knowledge of crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, gearboxes, filter press, compressors, hydraulics and related plant equipment required.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to breakdowns.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills and fault finding.
- Candidates must be medically fit to perform duties in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act.

Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)

- Perform planned and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment.




- Conduct inspections and fault-finding on mechanical systems and machinery.
- Repair and replace defective components in accordance with engineering standards
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, MHS Act procedures, standards and code of practice
- Complete maintenance reports and job cards accurately
- Participate in shutdown maintenance activities and Sunday work
- Maintain valuable housekeeping in work areas
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and productivity
- Must have complete toolbox with sufficient tools as per trade to perform required duties

The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
