We're looking for an experienced National Human Resources Manager to lead our national HR function across a diverse group of businesses operating in employment services, recruitment, labour hire and training.

With more than 300 employees and 1,000+ labour hire workers across multiple locations, states and industries, this is a senior leadership role for someone who understands the realities of managing a complex, operationally driven workforce.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director / CEO, you'll take ownership of the HR function, providing trusted advice to senior leadership while remaining hands-on with the people matters that impact our businesses every day.

We're particularly interested in candidates with solid industrial relations, employee relations and performance management experience, alongside a sound understanding of auditing, compliance, risk management and continuous improvement.

The Role

You'll lead the national HR function, balancing strategic leadership with practical execution. You'll work closely with the CEO and operational leaders to ensure our people practices are commercially sound, legally compliant and consistently applied across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

Industrial & Employee Relations: Managing complex workplace matters, interpreting Modern Awards and employment legislation, advising on enterprise and workplace issues, and minimising industrial and legal risk.

People & Performance Management: Leading complex performance, conduct, disciplinary and grievance matters while building leadership capability and accountability.

HR Operations & Workforce Management: Overseeing national HR processes, policies, procedures and employee lifecycle activities across a geographically dispersed workforce.

Auditing, Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Reviewing HR practices, identifying gaps, conducting and overseeing audits, implementing corrective actions and driving improvements to systems, processes and controls.

Risk & Governance: Strengthening HR governance, documentation, record keeping and compliance frameworks,

including relevant ISO standards and internal audit requirements.

Work Health & Safety: Providing oversight of workplace health and safety, workers compensation and return-to-work processes in partnership with relevant operational stakeholders.

Learning & Organisational Development: Supporting leadership development, workforce capability, succession planning and organisational effectiveness.

Workforce Planning & Engagement: Working with leaders to address workforce challenges, improve employee engagement and support business performance.

HR Systems & Reporting: Ensuring HR systems, reporting and processes provide accurate information to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.

You'll have one direct report, with responsibility for the broader national HR function and the opportunity to influence decisions at the highest level of the business.

About You

You're a confident and commercially minded HR leader who can navigate complex employee matters, provide clear advice and make sound decisions under pressure.

You'll ideally bring experience from a multi-site, operationally intensive environment such as manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, industrial services, labour hire, recruitment or employment services.

Experience in work health and safety, workers compensation and return-to-work management will also be valuable.

What We Offer

A senior leadership position with direct access to the Managing Director / CEO.

The opportunity to shape and strengthen the national HR function.

Broad exposure across multiple businesses, industries and operational environments.

Genuine influence over people strategy, workplace relations, compliance and business improvement.

A varied role where your advice and decisions will have a direct impact on business performance.

An attractive remuneration package aligned with the experience and capability you bring.

Interested?

If you're an experienced HR leader who combines strong industrial relations expertise with practical performance management, sound compliance knowledge and a continuous improvement mindset, we'd like to hear from you.
