Muswellbrook District Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a contract basis, starting 16 November 2026. This is a full time role offering the chance to work in a 12-bed ED within a 33-bed facility in Muswellbrook, NSW. The successful candidate will be part of a team delivering emergency care in a regional setting, with on-site shared nursing accommodation available and the flexibility to work across the broader site as needed.

- Emergency department nursing in a regional hospital with on-site accommodation provided
- Minimum 4 weeks commitment, with 8-12 weeks preferred; full-time roster block
- On-call 24/7 medical coverage role with scope for in-charge responsibilities

Preferred Requirements





- Recent and substantial emergency department experience with demonstrated clinical competence
- Current triage competency certificate and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- In-charge experience and the ability to lead in a busy ED environment
- Flexibility to work across any site within the facility and willingness to adapt to roster demands
- Access to a car and ability to drive to the Muswellbrook site; capacity to relocate or commute for the contract period

Preferred Qualifications

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Triage competency certification current and valid
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification current at commencement
