Maitland Hospital is seeking a Locum ED SRMO to support overnight Emergency Department cover.

This role suits doctors wanting defined night shift locum work that can fit around other commitments, travel plans or existing rosters.

You will work overnight in the ED, assessing presentations, supporting treatment plans, completing documentation and escalating clinical concerns appropriately.

Clinical Environment

- ED SRMO night shift role
- Overnight shifts, generally 23:00 – 09:00
- Supportive nursing and medical teams
- Clear escalation pathways available
- Hospital-based locum position in the Hunter region

Key Duties

- Assess and manage ED presentations
- Support treatment planning and patient flow
- Complete clinical documentation and handover
- Escalate concerns safely and appropriately
- Work collaboratively with ED staff

Requirements

- Current AHPRA Registration
- Recent Emergency Medicine experience at SRMO level
- Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to work safely within scope
- Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
