About the role

PHG is seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Stewarding Supervisor to join our growing team, supporting kitchen operations within luxury hotels and premium hospitality venues. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate the kitchen stewarding team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, food safety and operational efficiency across all kitchen areas.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise, lead and motivate the kitchen stewarding team

- Coordinate daily duties, staff allocations, rosters and shift handovers

- Ensure all kitchen equipment, pots, pans, utensils and operating equipment (OE) are cleaned, sanitised and stored correctly

- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and food safety

- Monitor dishwashing operations, cleaning schedules and chemical usage

- Ensure compliance with hotel procedures, workplace health and safety requirements, and food safety standards

- Manage stewarding equipment, cleaning supplies, chemical stock levels and breakage reports

- Conduct regular inspections and ensure all cleaning checklists and records are completed

- Train new team members and support ongoing staff development

- Work closely with Executive Chefs,



Sous Chefs and hotel management to ensure smooth kitchen operations

About you

- Previous experience in kitchen stewarding, preferably within a 4- or 5-star hotel

- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience

- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills

- A good understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety and workplace health and safety

- The ability to manage a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment

- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and attention to detail

- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends, early mornings and evenings as required
