With multiple brands online and a mix of retail / distribution channels, the business operates in a fast-paced and commercially dynamic environment.
One of the real drawcards of this opportunity is the people. You'll be joining a genuinely fun, outgoing and collaborative team, led by an exceptional Finance Manager who is highly regarded for their leadership style and the positive environment they have created. The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position will play an important role in supporting the financial performance of multiple business entities, with a particular focus on inventory, product margins and e-commerce operations.
This is a hands-on Management Accountant position that offers a strong commercial and analytical focus, rather than a traditional budgeting and forecasting role. Working closely with the broader finance team and operational stakeholders, you will help improve visibility over financial performance, investigate discrepancies and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Performing detailed inventory and margin analysis across multiple retail and e-commerce businesses.

- Analysing the financial impact of promotional campaigns, discounting and pricing decisions on product profitability.

- Working closely with purchasing, retail and operational teams to understand product performance and identify discrepancies.
- Monitoring and reconciling inventory balances, ensuring accuracy across multiple entities and sales channels.
- Supporting month-end processes, including journals, reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Providing meaningful analysis and insights to support commercial decision-making.
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, automate processes and enhance the use of existing systems.
- Supporting the Finance Manager with financial investigations and other ad hoc analytical requirements.

Why Should You Apply?

- Fantastic leadership: Work closely with an excellent Finance Manager who is approachable, supportive and genuinely enjoyable to work with.
- Great team culture: Join a fun, outgoing and down-to-earth team where people get along, have a laugh and enjoy coming to work.
- Interesting commercial exposure: Work across multiple retail and e-commerce businesses, with a genuine focus on understanding what drives profitability.
- Make an impact: Opportunity to improve existing processes, reporting and systems within a growing business.
- Flexibility: Permanent full time opportunity with one day working from home following probation.

The Successful Candidate
To be successful in this role,

you will be a commercially minded Management Accountant who enjoys getting into the detail, investigating discrepancies and understanding the numbers behind business performance.
Ideally, you will bring:

- Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar analytical finance role, ideally within retail, wholesale, distribution or an inventory-intensive business.
- Strong inventory accounting knowledge, including product costing, stock reconciliations and margin analysis.
- Experience within an e-commerce environment, including online marketplaces, promotional campaigns and multiple sales channels, will be highly advantageous.
- Exposure to multi-entity accounting environments and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate large datasets, investigate variances and produce meaningful analysis.
- Strong systems aptitude and an interest in improving reporting, automation and existing processes.
- Sound financial accounting knowledge, including month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting.
- CPA or CA qualifications, or progress towards completion, will be highly regarded.
- A proactive, inquisitive approach with strong attention to detail and the confidence to engage with stakeholders across the business.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys understanding how a business operates, isn't afraid to question the numbers and brings a positive, personable approach to working with others.
