Kingspan Insulated Panels is seeking an experienced Inventory Costing Controller to join our team at St Marys. This is an important role within our Finance function, responsible for managing and optimising inventory valuations, improving stock accuracy and providing meaningful cost analysis to support business performance.

Working closely with Finance, Procurement and Operations, you will play a key role in ensuring inventory is accurately valued, stock levels are effectively managed and manufacturing costs are monitored and controlled.

About the role

Reporting to the General Management – Finance, your key responsibilities will include:

Inventory Valuation & Costing

- Manage and maintain accurate inventory valuations across raw materials, finished goods and other stock categories.

- Review and apply relevant inventory costs, including supplier pricing, freight, duties, clearing and delivery costs, and foreign exchange movements.

- Ensure inventory costing methodologies and financial records are accurate and consistent.

Labour Costing & Analysis

- Review and maintain labour rates within SAP, ensuring costing accurately reflects payroll rates, machine operators, production speeds and product efficiencies.

- Maintain labour analysis and reporting, identify cost variations and recommend improvements.

- Monitor key performance indicators and provide insights to support cost management.

Cost Analysis & Control

- Analyse inventory purchasing, holding and handling costs, identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve cost efficiencies.

- Review and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) across our product ranges, including PIR, K-Roc, chemical blends, flashings, packaging and façade products.

- Work closely with Operations to investigate usage trends, validate material quantities and recommend improvements to manufacturing processes and product costing.

- Monitor project costs and margins,



ensuring SAP sales orders and project cost allocations are accurately maintained.

- Review project cost accruals and ensure costs are appropriately recognised in line with customer billing.

Inventory & Stock Accuracy

- Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock quantities, locations and movements.

- Coordinate regular cycle counts and investigate discrepancies between physical stock and SAP records.

- Identify and resolve inventory variances, working with relevant stakeholders to improve stock accuracy and usage processes.

- Plan, coordinate and manage annual audited stock takes, including stakeholder communication, reporting and follow-up actions.

- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to support consistent inventory management practices.

Stock Monitoring & Procurement Coordination

- Work with Procurement to establish appropriate stock levels and reorder points, balancing availability with inventory holding costs.

- Monitor inventory turnover, ageing and potential obsolescence, providing timely advice to management on potential risks and provisioning requirements.

- Coordinate stock receipting and goods movements within SAP, ensuring deliveries are accurately recorded, labelled and stored.

- Manage stock transfers between internal and external storage locations.

- Identify opportunities to improve storage utilisation, inventory processes and overall supply chain efficiency.

About you

You are an analytical and commercially focused professional who enjoys working across different business functions. You have strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data, and the confidence to engage with stakeholders to drive improvements.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or a related discipline, or a CIMA qualification.

- A minimum of five years' experience in a similar inventory costing,



financial analysis or cost control position, ideally within a manufacturing environment.

- Strong knowledge of costing methodologies, including standard costing, project/job costing, process costing and marginal costing.

- Demonstrated experience in financial and cost analysis, including variance analysis, product costing, profitability analysis and cost reduction initiatives.

- Strong SAP experience, particularly in inventory costing, Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, production orders and inventory transactions.

- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with complex data and reporting.

- Experience preparing financial reports and presenting findings and recommendations to management.
