About the Opportunity

Bring your leadership expertise to a role where the decisions you make can improve services for thousands of tenants, landlords and agents across South Australia.

As Manager Bonds, you’ll lead a substantial customer-facing function, strengthen team performance and drive improvements across the delivery of bonds services.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Finance and Bonds, you’ll lead the Team Leader, Bonds and a large customer-facing team. You’ll have the scope to set operational priorities, build workforce capability, resolve complex issues and turn performance insights into practical improvements that strengthen service quality and customer confidence.

Key responsibility areas include:

- Set the direction and lift performance: Lead a customer-facing function, translating priorities into clear operational plans, service standards and accountabilities. Build team capability and align resources with demand to sustain high-quality service delivery.
- Uphold service excellence and regulatory integrity: Oversee bond lodgements, transactions, administration and tenancy information and advice, ensuring services are timely and accessible with effective controls and consistent application of legislation and procedures.
- Navigate complex issues and manage risk: Provide advice on sensitive, complex and higher risk matters to senior leaders and external agencies that help resolve issues, manage risks and provide recommendations for decision making and exercising delegated authority within approved limits.
- Strengthen stakeholder relationships and customer outcomes: Develop trusted relationships across CBS and with tenants, landlords, agents, government agencies, industry and advocacy groups and other stakeholders.
- Drive improvement and service innovation: Use performance data, customer feedback and operational trends to identify opportunities to improve systems,

processes and service practices.

Our ideal candidate will be an accomplished people leader who can balance strategic priorities with the realities of a large, busy, customer-facing operational environment. You know how to set direction, build capable teams, lift performance and create a culture where accountability and high service standards go hand in hand.

You will bring sound judgement and credibility to steer complex legislative, financial or policy matters. You will have the ability to look beyond the immediate issue to spot patterns and turn performance data, insights and stakeholder feedback into practical improvements and smarter ways of working.

Comfortable working through ambiguity, you will have the ability to navigate complexity, weigh competing priorities and make sound, defensible decisions. You’ll also be adept at handling difficult conversations and driving improvements through influence, confidence and strong relationship-building skills.
