Lead Hakka’s Queensland growth across Foodservice and Retail, manage strategic customer partnerships and build and develop a multi-cultural sales team.

ABOUT HAKKA

For over 45 years, Hakka has manufactured and supplied Asian food products across Australia’s foodservice, retail and commercial channels. To further support its position as a market leader in the Asian category, we are seeking a commercially minded leader to grow our Queensland business across mainstream and Asian markets.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the General Manager, Sales & Marketing, you will lead Queensland sales performance, manage strategic accounts and coach Sales Representatives as part of a multi-cultural team. You will develop and execute an integrated strategy across Foodservice and Retail, including mainstream and Asian markets.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

- Develop and deliver the Queensland Foodservice and Retail sales plan, growing revenue, gross margin and market share.
- Personally manage strategic retailers, distributors and key foodservice customers; negotiate agreements and lead business reviews.
- Grow new business through customer acquisition, distributor ranging, product trials, retail distribution and foodservice menu placements.
- Set channel priorities, sales territories and explicit customer ownership across mainstream and Asian markets.
- Lead, coach and develop the sales team, with clear targets, field coaching and regular performance reviews.
- Manage pricing, gross margin, trade spend, promotional investment and customer profitability within delegated authority.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and actively contribute to the S&OP; process.
- Lead new product launches, regional promotions, tastings and trade-show activity.
- Share market insights and work with Marketing, NSW Customer Service, Demand Planning,



Quality and Logistics to deliver customer plans.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- At least seven (7) years’ sales or commercial experience in food, FMCG or a related industry, with demonstrated Foodservice and Retail capability.
- Demonstrated success developing sales strategies, growing strategic accounts and negotiating commercial outcomes.
- Strong Foodservice distributor, end-user and Retail customer relationship skills.
- Direct experience leading, coaching and developing a sales team and delivering against targets.
- Strong commercial acumen across margin, trade spend, budgets and customer profitability.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems, with disciplined sales reporting and pipeline management.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Queensland as required.
- Asian-market knowledge and Mandarin or Cantonese language skills are advantageous but not essential.
