Start Your Electrical Career with Norco

Norco is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician to join our Maintenance Team at our manufacturing site in Raleigh, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience while completing a nationally recognised electrical apprenticeship within a leading Australian dairy and food manufacturing environment.

Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will gain hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance, fault finding, PLC’s, automation and process control systems while completing your apprenticeship.

You will receive ongoing support, mentoring and practical training throughout your apprenticeship to help you become a qualified Electrician.

We welcome applications from new entrants as well as 2nd, 3rd or 4th year apprentices seeking to broaden their experience within a large food manufacturing environment.

About the Role

As a full-time Apprentice Electrician, you will support the maintenance team in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and site infrastructure. You will receive structured on-the-job training while attending TAFE and working towards your electrical qualification.

To be considered for this role, please demonstrate the following selection criteria in your application:

- A genuine passion for electrical maintenance and a strong desire to pursue a career as an Electrician in an industrial environment
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced tradespeople
- A willingness to ask questions, take initiative and continuously develop current skills
- Previous electrical, engineering or trade-related training or experience (desirable but not essential)
- An interest in fault finding, automation, control systems and industrial manufacturing equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a logical approach to troubleshooting
- A commitment to completing all classroom and on-the-job training requirements
- A strong and ongoing commitment to workplace health and safety
- The ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- A current Class C driver's licence
