Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. We are committed to the development of Laos through our production of copper and gold, whilst striving for business excellence throughout the business. This role is based in Laos PDR. Reporting to the Superintendent – Metallurgy (Copper), the Senior Metallurgist – Copper will provide technical leadership for grinding, copper flotation and concentrate dewatering at Sepon. The role will lead testwork and optimisation to improve recovery, concentrate quality, reagent efficiency and process stability, while developing flotation capability within the Lao metallurgy team. Concentrate quality is managed to meet the requirements of Sepon’s own downstream copper processing circuit.

Key Responsibilities
Include:
• Setting flotation operating standards, control strategies and improvement priorities in partnership with Operations
• Optimising grind size, pulp density, pH, reagents, air and froth conditions to manage ore variability and clay-rich feed
• Planning and leading flotation testwork and controlled plant trials, using assays, mineralogy and mass balances to guide operating changes
• Managing concentrate quality, thickening, filtration and moisture against site specifications and downstream processing requirements
• Diagnosing flotation losses and process underperformance,



leading root cause investigations and verifying corrective actions
• Working with Operations, Gold Metallurgy, Maintenance and the Laboratory on shared services, sampling, forecasts, budgets and performance reporting
• Coaching Lao metallurgists, graduates and operators through field work, plant trials and technical reviews to build lasting flotation capability Experience, Skills and

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline
• At least eight years’ experience in mineral processing, including five years of plant-based copper flotation experience
• A demonstrated record of improving copper flotation recovery, concentrate quality, process stability or reagent efficiency
• Strong knowledge of copper sulphide and bulk sulphide flotation, grinding, classification, thickening and filtration
• Advanced troubleshooting, sampling, testwork and mass balancing skills, with the ability to translate findings into practical operating improvements
• Robust technical leadership and coaching skills in a multicultural environment; able to lead in English, with Chinese or Lao an advantage
