ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT TRADES WORKER - MOBILE DEVICE REPAIRS

Job Description MOBI HUB PTY LTD You will assess faulty mobile devices, identify the cause of hardware and electronic problems, carry out appropriate repairs and verify that repaired devices operate correctly. The position requires practical technical skills, attention to detail and clear communication with customers about repair options and outcomes.

Benefits Task & responsibilities Inspect mobile phones, review reported faults and assess physical damage and repair history. Use diagnostic software, multi meters and appropriate test equipment to identify faults affecting power, charging, displays, audio, cameras and connectivity. Refer to technical specifications, service information and circuit diagrams where available to determine suitable repair procedures.

Carefully dismantle devices and inspect electronic components, connectors and internal assemblies. Repair or replace defective components, including screens, batteries, charging assemblies, speakers, microphones, cameras and internal connections. Reassemble repaired devices, secure components and fittings, and conduct functional tests to confirm satisfactory operation.

Diagnose software-related faults and perform authorised updates, resets or restoration procedures where required. Assess repair feasibility, identify required parts and explain repair options and estimated costs to customers. Maintain accurate records of faults, diagnostic findings, parts used,



repairs completed and final test results.

Check replacement parts for compatibility and quality and maintain appropriate repair stock. Maintain repair tools and testing equipment and follow safe procedures for electrostatic discharge protection, battery handling and electronic waste disposal. Protect customer information and obtain consent before undertaking procedures that may affect stored data.

Advise customers on device care, safe operation and maintenance following repairs.

Qualification & experience A relevant qualification in electronics, electronic equipment servicing or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant trade experience. Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing mobile phones and electronic devices.

Practical ability to use diagnostic equipment, precision tools and secure component replacement techniques. Knowledge of electronic components, device assemblies and systematic fault-finding methods. The ability to interpret technical information and follow manufacturer repair procedures.

Robust attention to detail, problem-solving skills and a commitment to reliable repair outcomes. Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
