About the Role:

Join a leading specialist service within Canberra Health Services and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality sleep diagnostics and therapy services to the ACT and surrounding region. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a service committed to clinical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

As the Senior Sleep Scientist, you will provide expert clinical leadership while independently performing routine and complex polysomnography studies, data analysis, and sleep therapy management. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sleep Disorders Unit, coordinate laboratory activities, support accreditation and quality assurance initiatives, and contribute to service development, research, and improvement projects. Working across day, evening, and overnight shifts, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of a responsive 24-hour service.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced clinician with advanced technical expertise in sleep science, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for developing others. You will bring exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, the ability to supervise and mentor staff and students, and a commitment to evidence-based practice. If you thrive in a collaborative environment, embrace innovation, and are dedicated to achieving outstanding patient outcomes,

we encourage you to apply and become part of a team delivering compassionate care through collaboration and excellence.

Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:

- Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
- Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.

Note: This is a temporary position available for three months with possibility of extension. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.

Note: Under the ACTPS employment framework you may be placed in another role where required for the efficient administration of the service.

Where an offer of employment is for a fixed-term period, any related temporary contracts within the Territory will be issued in compliance with the requirements and applicable exceptions outlined in the Fair Work Act.
