Bank Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) - Newcastle

As part of the Prometheus Safe & Secure team, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. From supporting patients during secure transfers to providing reassurance in challenging situations, you will help ensure that every individual is treated with dignity, respect and professionalism. Working alongside experienced healthcare professionals, you will contribute to patient safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes. Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Support Assist qualified nurses in delivering safe and effective patient transfers. Provide compassionate, person-centred care while maintaining patient dignity, comfort and wellbeing. Offer reassurance, emotional support and crisis intervention to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. Safety & Crisis Management Respond calmly and professionally to challenging situations and emergencies. Apply appropriate de-escalation techniques and approved interventions in line with training and company policies. Follow safeguarding procedures to protect vulnerable adults and children. Patient Transfers & Transportation Drive company ambulances when required, ensuring protected and comfortable journeys.



Conduct pre-journey vehicle and equipment checks, promptly reporting any concerns. Support safe patient movement and transportation in accordance with risk assessments and care plans. Communication & Documentation Complete accurate patient records, risk information and clinical handovers to ensure continuity of care. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and external healthcare professionals. Build positive working relationships while promoting equality, diversity and inclusion. Professional Development & Compliance Participate in mandatory training, team meetings and professional reviews. Maintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality and accountability.
