St Patrick's College Townsville is seeking an exceptional and passionate educator and student leader to join our community as Head of Senior, commencing in 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership and care for our Year 11 and Year 12 students during a defining stage of their education. Working across academic, wellbeing and pathways teams, you will support students to achieve strong academic outcomes, successfully navigate their senior schooling and QCE requirements, and engage fully in the broader life of the College.

About the Role

As Head of Senior, you will provide visible and proactive leadership of the Year 11 and Year 12 cohorts, fostering a culture of high expectations, aspiration, wellbeing and engagement. Working closely with students, families and College staff, you will support academic progress, senior schooling success and student leadership, while helping students make the most of their final years at the College.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing visible and proactive leadership of the Year 11 and Year 12 cohorts, fostering high expectations, aspiration, engagement and student responsibility.
- Monitoring academic progress, attendance and wellbeing, identifying students requiring additional support and coordinating timely intervention.
- Supporting students to successfully navigate senior schooling, including QCE requirements, assessment expectations, pathways and preparation for life beyond school.
- Working collaboratively with families, academic and wellbeing teams while leading key senior experiences,



student leadership opportunities and milestone events.

You are an experienced educator and confident leader who:

- Brings a robust understanding of senior schooling and is committed to supporting positive academic, wellbeing and engagement outcomes for students.
- Has the ability to build strong and respectful relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- Demonstrates sound judgement and a student-centred approach that balances care, accountability and individual circumstances.
- Is a proactive and collaborative leader who can work effectively across academic, wellbeing, pathways and boarding areas.
- Is committed to Catholic education, child safeguarding and creating an environment in which young women are supported to thrive.
