Job Summary

Lead the engineering and optimization of mission-critical trading infrastructure, leveraging Linux, Python and automation to deliver high-availability, ultra-low-latency systems across demanding global production environments.

What You'll Do:

Take a leading role in engineering, maintaining and optimizing sophisticated Linux-based infrastructure powering real-time trading environments. You’ll tackle complex technical challenges across hardware, software and applications, driving automation, system reliability and performance while delivering critical infrastructure projects in a fast-paced setting.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Design, manage and optimize global Linux-based trading infrastructure.
2. Lead complex infrastructure projects, system installations and technology upgrades.
3. Develop automation solutions to streamline infrastructure management and operational workflows.
4. Troubleshoot hardware, networking, kernel and application-level issues across the technology stack.
5. Deploy, configure and maintain internal and external production applications.
6. Resolve critical production incidents while maintaining system availability and reliability.
7. Benchmark and fine-tune trading systems for maximum performance and minimal latency.
8. Manage vendor escalations and drive accountability for infrastructure performance.
9. Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance system architecture and operational efficiency.
10. Participate in on-call rotations covering trading hours and weekend operations.

About You:

1. 7+ years of experience supporting live production environments, preferably within financial trading.
2. Expert-level knowledge of Linux systems, including hardware, networking, kernels and applications.
3. Strong experience with Debian or Ubuntu distributions.
4. Proficiency in configuration management tools such as SaltStack, Puppet, Ansible or Chef.
5. Advanced Python programming skills with a focus on automation and integration.
6. Extensive Bash scripting experience and strong command-line capabilities.
7. Proven experience managing, troubleshooting and debugging production trading services.
8. Strong project management, organizational and cross-functional communication skills.
9. Familiarity with JIRA and structured project delivery methodologies.
10. Exposure to AWS or GCP cloud architecture is highly desirable.
11. A proactive problem-solver who thrives under pressure and takes ownership of production-critical challenges.
