- 1 x Fixed-Term Part-time Role - 0.15 FTE (6 hours per week)
- Band 3 (cert III) salary $33.29 - $35.38 per hour plus super
- Band 4 (Diploma) Salary $35.69 - $37.98 per hour plus super

About the role

As we receive enrolments for 2027, an exciting opportunitycurrently exists to deliver a high-quality educational program at the City ofBallarat’s brand- new Vickers Street Kindergarten located inside Vickers StreetCommunity Hub, Sebastopol.

In this role, you will support our funded kindergartenprogram which operates on Monday and Tuesdays over seven and half hour days. Asthis is a new service opened in term 1, 2026, you will have the opportunity tobe innovative and use your experience to develop and implement and exciting newcurriculum alongside our early childhood teachers.

About you:

The successful applicant will be Diploma or CERT III qualified and havean understanding of the Children’s Services Regulations and Early YearsFrameworks.

With a genuine interest in meeting the needs of children andtheir families, you will demonstrate an ability to support a holistic approachto the care,



education and development of children that reflects an awarenessof the wellbeing of children in your care.

Robust interpersonal skills and an understanding of andrespect for diverse social and cultural values and attitudes in relation tocaring for children are crucial skills we’re looking for in the successfulapplicant.

Vickers Street Kindergarten embraces a slow pedagogy wherethe children's needs are at the heart of all decisions we made. The globalsocial-emotional program 'Think Equal' is being run successfully at thekindergarten, as well as a bush kindergarten program being established thisyear.

Professional Development is provided to the staff includingour annual Professional Development Day.
