We're Hiring: Senior Snowflake Platform Engineer / Technical Lead | Sydney, Australia

We are looking for hands-on Snowflake platform specialists to help establish, secure, automate and operationalise an enterprise-scale Snowflake platform within a large, regulated setting.

This is not a generic Snowflake Developer or ETL role. We need professionals with practical experience building and managing the Snowflake platform itself, not just developing SQL queries, reports or data pipelines on an existing platform.

- Establish and configure Snowflake platforms from the ground up.
- Design and manage Snowflake accounts, environments and platform architecture.
- Configure virtual warehouses, workload management and resource monitoring.
- Implement RBAC, authentication, security and access controls.
- Manage networking, connectivity, monitoring and auditing.
- Build CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments.




- Troubleshoot production issues and optimise platform performance and cost.
- Provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on.
- Strong hands-on Snowflake platform engineering and administration experience.
- Experience in banking, financial services or other regulated enterprise environments.
- Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
- dbt and Snowpark/Python.
- Relevant Snowflake certifications.

Professionals who have genuinely participated in setting up, securing, automating and operating enterprise Snowflake platforms.

Candidates whose experience is primarily Snowflake SQL development, BI/reporting or generic ETL engineering, without platform implementation and administration experience, will not be considered for the Platform Engineer / Technical Lead positions.
