Axle Capital, our sister company, is a Melbourne-based SME finance brokerage with big growth plans for the next 12–24 months. We have at least 60–70 broker roles to fill in the next 12 months.

This role makes that happen. You'll work with our management team to build the broker team, and you'll be the face of Axle as a place people want to work.

What you'll do

Own broker hiring from first contact to signed offer, for experienced and junior brokers

Pitch Axle: show candidates the culture, growth and earning potential, and why this is the place to build a broking career

Generate inquiries: cold outreach by phone, LinkedIn and email, job ads, referrals from our brokers, and a pool of future candidates

Shape the environment people want to join, working with management on how we present Axle, onboard new brokers and keep them

Run the process: screen candidates, book interviews with management, check references, manage offers

Report hiring numbers weekly and improve what isn't working

As we grow, help build out the recruitment function, including any recruiters who join later

Who you are

A high performer in sales or recruitment who loves hitting targets





2+ years in recruitment, ideally agency-side, hiring for sales or finance roles

Confident on the phone and comfortable with high-volume cold outreach

A natural pitcher who can sell a vision, not just a job

Organised, tracks your own numbers, and reports on them

Bonus: you know broking, lending or banking in Australia

First 90 days:

Know our business, our brokers and what makes a good hire here

Have job ads, an outreach routine and a candidate tracker running

Be hiring 4–6 brokers a month

First 12 months:

60–70 brokers hired

Most current brokers pass probation and settle their first deal

Axle is known in the market as a great place to broke, and candidates come to us

A documented hiring process that can scale with more recruiters
