About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Garden Maintenance Team Leader to assist with the maintenance, cleaning, repairs and minor construction of park assets. This wide-ranging outdoor role will see you working across playgrounds, park furniture, fencing and other public assets to ensure they remain safe, functional and well presented.

Responsibilities

- Lead and direct a team of maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
- Follow schedules and prioritise tasks to ensure timely completion of garden maintenance activities, including planting, hedging, weeding, pruning and fertilising.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.
- Regularly inspect garden areas to assess their condition, identify improvements needed, and implement corrective actions.
- Interact with clients to understand their preferences, address concerns, and provide updates on maintenance activities.

About You

- Valid Driver's licence (C Class Manual)
- Proven experience in a Team Leader or Supervisor role
- Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens (desirable not essential)
- Current Driver Licence
- White Card
- National Police Check & Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
- Team player with excellent communication skills
