Music Retail Store Manager - Mannys and Store DJ

SoundBay Pty Ltd is an Australian music retail and distribution group, best known for brands including Mannys Music, Store DJ, Derringers Music and Optimum Percussion. With a national retail network across Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane, SoundBay is continuing to grow across the Australian music and audio market.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate retail leader to take the reins of our Perth store as Store Manager, following the promotion of our current Store Manager into a senior retail leadership role. You'll lead and develop an awesome team of music retail professionals, drive sales and performance, and create an exceptional experience for musicians and audio enthusiasts alike.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the team - Build a positive, high-performing culture through coaching, support and strong leadership.

Drive sales and performance - Motivate the team to achieve sales targets, improve results and deliver on store objectives.

Deliver exceptional customer experiences - Lead by example on the shop floor, setting the standard for outstanding service.

Oversee store operations - Maintain a well-organised, efficient and professionally presented store, with strong stock availability and safety standards.

Build accountability and capability - Empower Department Managers and Sales Consultants to solve problems, take ownership and succeed.

Collaborate across the business - Work with warehouse, support teams and other store leaders to keep operations running smoothly and drive broader retail success.

About You

You're a commercially minded retail leader who knows how to bring out the best in people. You're hands-on, customer-focused and passionate about building great teams and delivering results.

You'll bring:





Proven retail leadership experience with a recognised national or international retail brand.

An interest in musical instruments or audio equipment, with incoming product knowledge that we can expand on.

Robust commercial acumen and a track record of driving sales and achieving targets.

A genuine passion for coaching, developing and motivating people.

Excellent customer service, organisational and problem-solving skills.

The confidence to take ownership, make decisions and lead by example.
