Job Description

Nepalese Food Safari Pty Ltd Nepalese Food Safari Pty Ltd, trading as Tasty Momo, is looking for skilled and experienced Chefs and Cooks. The roles are permanent and full-time, based at our two Perth restaurants in Dianella and Cloverdale. Tasty Momo is a busy Nepalese restaurant group offering dine-in, takeaway and delivery for lunch and dinner.

Momo is at the heart of our menu, served steamed, fried, jhol and chilli style, alongside thakali sets, choila, sekuwa, sukuti, chatpate, thukpa, chowmein and a variety of curries. Every dish is prepared fresh in-house with traditional family recipes and our own spice blends. The successful candidates will prepare and cook Nepalese dishes to a consistently high standard.

You will also help plan menus and specials, manage stock and ordering, and guide junior kitchen staff through peak service across both venues. Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards is an essential part of the role. This is a great chance to join a growing local business.

Benefits Permanent full-time position with long-term job security Competitive salary based on skills and experience Supportive and friendly kitchen team Staff meals provided during shifts Opportunity to contribute ideas to the menu and new dishes Career progression as the business grows Task & responsibilities Preparing and cooking authentic Nepalese dishes to a high standard, including momo, thakali sets, choila, sekuwa, thukpa and curries Making momo dough, fillings, jhol, achar, chutneys and house spice blends from scratch Marinating and grilling meats for sekuwa, choila, sukuti and tandoori dishes Preparing rice dishes, breads, noodles and chowmein Planning menus and daily specials around customer demand, seasonal produce and dietary needs,



including vegetarian and vegan options Checking deliveries and ingredients for freshness and quality Operating and monitoring steamers, grills, tandoor ovens, woks and fryers at correct temperatures Seasoning, portioning and presenting dishes consistently for dine-in, takeaway and delivery Ensuring all kitchen operations comply with food safety, sanitation and hygiene regulations Maintaining inventory records, ordering from suppliers and rotating stock Storing food correctly in temperature-controlled conditions Reducing waste and controlling food costs Supervising, training and coordinating kitchen staff during busy periods Developing new dishes to keep the menu fresh and exciting Qualification & experience Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef or Cook in a commercial kitchen Proven skills in a skilled kitchen environment Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace hazard prevention Experience with stock control, ordering and food costing Flexibility to work lunch and dinner shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays Strong communication and time management skills under pressure Ability to work well in a team and supervise junior staff Willingness to work at either the Dianella or Cloverdale restaurant A genuine passion for Nepalese food and culture
