Job Description

Join Elevate Independence Elevate Independence provides person-centred disability support across Sydney and surrounding suburbs. This casual vacancy is initially based in Denham Court, near Leppington. Proposed hours Proposed daytime shifts are 9 am–2 pm, with possible Saturday shifts 9 am–1 pm. Days, hours and commencement are subject to confirmation and completion of required checks. Casual shifts are not guaranteed. What you will do

- Provide respectful personal care, including showering, supporting dignity, privacy, choice and independence.
- Assist with protected mobility and transfers following current individual instructions and within your training and competency.
- Support meal preparation, household tasks, community access and chosen activities.
- Provide safe transport to and from medical appointments.
- Follow support plans and safe work practices, communicate clearly and write specific, factual progress notes.

What we are looking for Relevant disability-support and personal-care experience; a warm, reliable approach; culturally safe practice; and clear spoken and written English for safe communication, instructions and records.



Valid work rights, a current driver licence and safe transport arrangements are required before commencing relevant duties. This assignment requires a female support worker because the work includes intimate personal care and respect for privacy and dignity.

Classification depends on duties, qualifications and experience, with applicable casual loading, superannuation, penalties and allowances.
