Job Description

Full-Time Cook Company Name: SURE PETRO PTY LTD T/A United Timber Creek Supermarket Address: 58 Victoria Hwy, Timber Creek, NT 0852 Position: Full Time Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 plus Superannuation Duties and Skills

- Examine food ingredients to ensure quality and freshness before preparation.
- Prepare, season and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and established procedures.
- Regulate oven, grill, stove and other cooking equipment temperatures and cooking times.
- Monitor food preparation and cooking to ensure dishes meet required quality and presentation standards.
- Portion food, plate dishes and add sauces, gravies or garnishes as required.
- Prepare food to meet customer orders and any specified dietary requirements where applicable.
- Store ingredients and prepared food safely, using appropriate temperature-controlled facilities.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, utensils and equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene,



HACCP and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Monitor ingredient supplies and minimise food waste.
- Coordinate with other kitchen team members to support timely meal service.
- Assist with menu preparation and estimating ingredient requirements when required.

Qualification and Experience:

- Relevant commercial cookery qualification and/or demonstrated relevant experience is preferred.
- 1 year Experience in a commercial kitchen is mandatory.
- Knowledge of food preparation methods, cooking techniques and protected food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods and follow instructions.
- Good teamwork, time management and organisational skills.
- Availability to work rostered shifts, including weekends or public holidays if required.
