Support project financial performance and cost control across a diverse portfolio of complex projects.
We’re looking for a Junior Cost Controller / Project Controller to support project controls across a range of major projects. This is a great prospect for someone with exposure to project coordination, cost control or project controls who is looking to further develop their experience within a complex project environment.
You'll work closely with Project Managers and experienced project controls professionals, supporting cost monitoring, project reporting and Earned Value Management (EVMS) to help drive effective project delivery and financial performance.
About the Role:
- Support project cost control activities, including budget monitoring, expenditure tracking and cost reporting.
- Assist with forecasting, identifying cost variances and monitoring project financial performance.
- Support Earned Value Management (EVMS) processes to track project progress against planned costs and schedules.
- Prepare and maintain project reports, financial data and cost control documentation.
- Work closely with Project Managers and stakeholders to monitor project performance, budgets and milestones.
- Contribute to project controls processes, ensuring accurate reporting and effective financial oversight across projects.
About You:
- Previous experience in a project controls, cost control or project coordination role.
- Some exposure to Earned Value Management (EVMS) or project performance reporting.
- Understanding of project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Robust analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across project teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work within a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience across mining, resources, oil and gas, infrastructure, construction or engineering projects will be highly regarded.
