Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Senior QE with strong experience in Playwright-based UI automation and API automation. The person should be capable of designing maintainable automation frameworks, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, and owning quality across the end-to-end delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain Playwright automation frameworks using TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Build robust automation covering UI, API and end-to-end business flows.
- Develop API automation for REST services, including request/response validation, authentication, negative scenarios and data-driven testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enable reliable execution across environments.
- Analyse automation failures and differentiate application defects from framework, environment and test-data issues.
- Drive automation coverage across regression and critical business journeys.




- Work closely with developers, product teams and QE members to build quality earlier in the lifecycle.
- Review automation code and establish reusable coding and automation standards.
- Mentor junior engineers while remaining strongly hands-on.

Must-Have Skills

- 7+ years of Quality Engineering / Test Automation experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright
- Strong TypeScript / JavaScript programming skills
- Robust API automation experience
- REST API testing and automation
- Experience with tools such as Postman / REST clients
- Strong understanding of JSON, HTTP methods, headers, authentication and response validation
- Experience building or enhancing automation frameworks from scratch
- CI/CD integration using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Git/version-control experience
- Good understanding of test design, debugging and defect analysis
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams
