As part of our ANZ growth strategy, we're expanding our Growth & Innovation team and looking for a proactive Bid & Project Coordinator to help us win the work that keeps communities running.
The role The Perth Seawater Desalination Plant (PSDP) is critical to Perth's water security. We need a multi-discipline, commercially savvy Construction Manager to lead major works there, from mobilisation through to handover.
Reporting to the Project Director, you'll lead construction delivery across civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation scopes on a live operating plant. You'll be responsible for safety, quality, cost and schedule, and you'll be the key link between project leadership, engineering, operations, contractors and field teams.
You will:
- Develop and deliver construction strategies, methodologies and programs
- Scope, tender, award and manage subcontracts, and drive commercial outcomes
- Track progress, manage risks and lead recovery when the project falls behind plan
- Work with engineering on constructability,
design changes and site constraints
- Plan works so they disrupt plant operations as little as possible
- Lead visibly on HSE and quality, including ITPs, hold points and critical risk controls
- Take works through defects, commissioning and operational handover
- Report on progress and KPIs to project leadership
About you
- A proven record leading major multi-discipline infrastructure construction. Experience in water, process or operating-plant environments is highly regarded
- Robust commercial and subcontract management skills
- Experience managing workforces, plant and materials to deliver on time, on budget and to specification
- A firm commitment to safety and quality
- Clear communication and a practical approach to problem solving
