About the opportunity
IT Factory Australia is looking for a creative, commercially minded Digital Marketing & eCommerce Specialist to manage our Shopify website, create engaging content and help grow our online sales and digital presence.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys turning ideas into finished work: publishing products, improving website pages, creating social content and running measurable marketing campaigns.
You must have at least three years of relevant experience and strong practical Shopify expertise. You should be comfortable managing day-to-day website changes independently.
Your responsibilities
Shopify website and online store
- Manage product listings, including adding, updating, publishing and removing products.
- Maintain accurate descriptions, specifications, images, pricing, variants and stock availability in coordination with our stock and operations team.
- Manage collections, navigation, promotions, discount codes and website merchandising.
- Build and update landing pages, promotional pages and other website content.
- Customise theme sections and implement suitable apps and straightforward features.
- Identify and fix website usability issues, broken links and mobile display problems.
- Improve product pages, search visibility and the customer purchasing journey.
- Test website changes before publishing and coordinate specialist development when required.
Social media and content
- Plan and manage a content calendar for relevant channels, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Create product promotions, educational posts, customer stories and content showing our team and services.
- Capture and edit product photographs and short videos at our Sydney office.
- Write clear captions, website copy and promotional messages.
- Schedule posts, monitor engagement and respond to routine enquiries,
referring sales and service matters to the appropriate team.
- Maintain consistent branding across channels.
Digital marketing and design
- Plan and execute campaigns supporting online sales and business enquiries.
- Create website banners, social graphics, email designs and digital advertising assets.
- Deliver email campaigns and support customer retention through relevant offers and follow-up communications.
- Coordinate promotions with stock availability, pricing and margin priorities.
Reporting and collaboration
- Provide a concise monthly report covering website performance, campaign results, social engagement and priority actions.
- Work closely with management, sales and operations to keep marketing accurate and commercially relevant.
- Manage competing priorities and maintain an organised schedule of campaigns and website improvements.
Essential experience and skills
- At least three years of relevant experience in digital marketing, eCommerce or a similar role.
- Strong hands-on Shopify experience beyond basic product uploads.
- A portfolio demonstrating Shopify work, social content and digital design.
- Experience creating graphics and editing short videos using Canva, Adobe tools or equivalent software.
- Robust written English, attention to detail and a good eye for design.
- Practical understanding of digital campaigns and website analytics.
- Ability to explain how your work contributed to sales, enquiries or customer engagement.
- Availability to work from our Sydney head office and Australian working rights.
What success looks like
- Accurate, current and well-presented products and website content.
- Consistent, useful social content that attracts relevant customers.
- Campaigns delivered on time with suitable stock and clear offers.
- Measurable improvements in customer engagement, website conversion and marketing efficiency.
- Clear reporting that helps management decide what to continue, improve or stop.
