Role overview:

We are supporting a major Federal Government department with the design, implementation management and support of their enterprise network infrastructure.

This is a 6-month initial engagement with three 12-month extension options, working across their on-prem and cloud environments to architect, optimise and secure the department’s LAN, WAN, data centre and wireless networks.

We are ideally seeking a permanent engagement, with a highly competitive salary package on offer.

Key responsibilities:

- Designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure to meet performance, availability and security requirements
- Configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and other network devices
- Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues,



and applying automation and scripting to streamline configuration and management
- Enforcing network security best practices and working with cybersecurity teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities
- Managing VPNs, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing and routing protocols
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, network diagrams and standard operating procedures
- Supporting technical and value-for-money evaluations of RFQ network requirements

To be successful, you will have extensive experience in:

- Enterprise-grade network technologies and vendors, including Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet and Palo Alto
- Network architecture, routing/switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, IP addressing, firewalls and load balancing
- Cloud networking across AWS and Azure environments
- Network security principles, vulnerability remediation and compliance standards
- Developing technical requirements and undertaking technical and VFM evaluations for RFQs
