The Role

We are looking for a Principal-level Cyber Security Engineer/ Architect . We need a hands-on security architect who is comfortable working independently with minimal day-to-day direction, while also knowing how to build genuine rapport with stakeholders to keep things moving. The people you'll be working with are busy and juggling competing priorities, so you'll need to be the one chasing information, decisions and sign-off rather than waiting for things to come to you.

What You'll Do





- The primary focus of this engagement is application security, with particular emphasis on identity and access management, privileged identity management, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- You will work self-sufficiently, managing your own workload and priorities while keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.
- As the engagement evolves, you may be called on to extend your focus into network and infrastructure security, so a willingness to move across domains as priorities shift will be important.
- You will also need to build rapport quickly with time-poor stakeholders so you can extract the requirements and decisions you need without unnecessary delay.

What You'll Need

- You will bring proven experience operating at a principal or senior engineering level, ideally with prior architect-level responsibility behind you.
- Rather than deep specialisation in a single area, we're after broad, hands-on experience across multiple security domains, including applications, network and infrastructure security.
- A strong working knowledge of the Azure platform and Azure-native security capabilities is essential, as is a demonstrated track record of working self-sufficiently and managing your own priorities without close supervision.
