Hiring: Senior Azure Administrator

We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure Administrator to manage, maintain and optimise enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have robust hands-on expertise in Azure infrastructure administration, cloud security, identity management, hybrid cloud connectivity and infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain Azure infrastructure, including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, Azure Backup and Site Recovery.
- Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, resource deployments and infrastructure configurations.
- Configure and manage Azure networking components, including VNets, Subnets, NSGs, VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute and Private Endpoints.
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, MFA and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Implement cloud security best practices using Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Azure Policy.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability and health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights.
- Manage backup, disaster recovery and business continuity operations.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and support incident, problem and change management.
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI and Azure Automation.
- Support Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep and ARM templates.
- Drive cloud governance, cost optimisation, security compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.




- Collaborate with cloud architects, cybersecurity teams, network engineers and application support teams.

Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Azure Administration, Cloud Infrastructure or Systems Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience managing enterprise Microsoft Azure environments.
- Expertise in Azure Virtual Machines, VNets, NSGs, Storage Accounts and Azure Backup.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, MFA, Conditional Access and identity management.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs and hybrid connectivity.
- Hands-on experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI and automation.
- Experience with Azure Site Recovery, backup and disaster recovery.
- Good understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem and Change Management.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500).
- Experience with Azure Landing Zones and cloud governance frameworks.
- Exposure to Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates and Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of Australian cybersecurity frameworks, including Essential Eight and Information Security Manual (ISM).
- Experience working in critical infrastructure, energy, utilities or highly regulated environments.
