As our global portfolio continues to grow, we are looking for a Senior or Principal Hydrogeologist who wants to make a meaningful contribution to our projects, clients and people. This is a key permanent, full-time role within HGG based in our Subiaco office in Western Australia.

How you will make an impact:

- Lead and deliver hydrogeological investigations, water-resource assessments and technical workstreams for natural resources projects.
- Plan and oversee field programs, including water bore drilling and construction, hydraulic testing, groundwater monitoring, sampling and laboratory coordination.
- Develop and review conceptual site models, source-pathway-receptor frameworks, groundwater assessments, technical reports and client deliverables.
- Contribute to quantitative water-resource modelling, whether through hands-on modelling, technical direction or model review.
- Manage project scope, teams, budgets, schedules and quality so work is delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Continue to build trusted relationships with current and prospective clients, identify opportunities and contribute to proposals and business development.
- Provide technical review, guidance and mentoring to colleagues, and collaborate across multidisciplinary Green Road teams.
- Represent HGG through client engagement, conferences and technical presentations,



with domestic and occasional international travel.

What you will bring to the role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior to Principal Hydrogeologist and technical leader who can solve complex problems, communicate clearly and help others do their best work. The appointment level will reflect the successful candidate’s depth of experience, capability and leadership contribution.

- An undergraduate degree with a geoscience foundation. A postgraduate qualification in hydrogeology is desirable.
- Approximately 10 or more years of hydrogeology experience, preferably in consulting and the natural resources sector.
- Strong capability in hydrogeological conceptualisation, field investigations and operational groundwater or surface-water management.
- Experience with water-resource modelling as a modeller, technical lead or project manager. Exposure to tools such as AQTESOLV, MODFLOW, FEFLOW, MIKE, GoldSim or PHREEQC is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including coordinating people, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- High-quality technical writing, peer-review and communication skills, including an ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
- A collaborative approach, sound professional judgement and a genuine interest in mentoring others.
- A current Australian manual driver’s licence, valid Australian working rights for an immediate start in our Subiaco office and readiness to travel to remote Australian client sites as required.
