ACE is a SCADA, electrical, instrumentation and communications engineering company working across power utilities, renewable energy and BESS, water & wastewater, rail, mining and critical infrastructure.

We’re looking for a Solution Architect to be the technical front door for client enquiries. You’ll take an enquiry, dig into what the client actually needs, design a practical solution, price it, and present and discuss it with the client through to a decision.

What you’ll do

- Own incoming enquiries, RFQs and RFPs for electrical, SCADA, control and communications work
- Ask the right questions – run discovery meetings, site visits and workshops to understand the real problem
- Design fit-for-purpose solutions across SCADA/HMI, PLC/RTU, telemetry and OT networks, electrical control and instrumentation
- Prepare accurate estimates and clear, professional proposals
- Present solutions to clients, handle questions and revisions, and follow up through to award
- Hand awarded projects over cleanly to our delivery team

What you’ll bring

- Degree in Electrical, Control Systems, Automation or similar




- Solid hands-on experience designing, delivering or commissioning SCADA, PLC/RTU and electrical control systems
- Experience preparing estimates, quotations or proposals
- Working knowledge of common SCADA/PLC platforms (e.g. Geo SCADA, Citect/AVEVA, Ignition, Siemens, Schneider, Allen-Bradley)
- Robust communication skills – comfortable presenting to and negotiating with clients
- Commercial awareness around scope, risk and margin

Experience with utility, renewable, water or rail clients – particularly WA utilities – will be highly regarded.
