We're looking for a senior, client-side Technical Delivery Lead for a complex Azure cloud infrastructure program for a South Australian government agency, onsite in the Adelaide CBD. It starts as a short-term engagement, with real potential to grow into longer-term work as the program moves into its next phases.

What you'll do

- Own technical delivery for the client: turn vendor commitments into a plan people can actually execute
- Hold the delivery partner to account on scope, schedule, quality and technical outcomes • Test assumptions and call out solutions that don't stack up, early
- Bring Operations in from day one, so the platform is secure, supportable and ready for BAU
- Coordinate around five service teams, working closely with the Cloud Solution Architect and Data Architect

What you'll bring

- A track record leading complex cloud or infrastructure delivery
- Experience managing major delivery partners or systems integrators from the client side
- Enough hands-on Azure, DevOps and DevSecOps knowledge to challenge technical decisions with credibility
- Strong grip on risk, dependencies and delivery governance
- Experience moving solutions into Operations/BAU
- Bonus: Terraform/IaC, Azure subscriptions and governance, cloud security.

You don't need to be the deepest Azure engineer in the room. You do need to know when something's off and have the confidence to say so.

Role Description The Technical Delivery Lead – Azure Cloud Program is a full-time, on-site role based in Adelaide, SA. This position is responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of complex Azure cloud initiatives, coordinating technical teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.



The role involves translating strategic objectives into actionable delivery plans, overseeing solution design and integration, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring alignment between business requirements and technical implementation.

The Technical Delivery Lead will facilitate Agile delivery practices, maintain clear communication with executive and technical stakeholders, and provide coaching and guidance to cross-functional teams. Day-to-day activities include planning and tracking work, removing delivery obstacles, reporting progress, and continuously improving delivery processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

- Strong Azure cloud delivery capabilities, including experience with Azure architecture, migration projects, and integration of cloud services into enterprise environments.
- Proven technical leadership and program delivery skills, including leading cross-functional teams, managing complex dependencies, and coordinating multiple workstreams.
- Experience with Agile and hybrid delivery frameworks, such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe, and the ability to tailor practices to large organizational transformations.
- Stakeholder and communication skills to engage senior leaders, business sponsors, and technical experts, with the ability to translate between business and technical language.
- Background in enterprise technology environments, such as infrastructure, networks, security, or application development, preferably within large private or public sector organizations.
- Ability to analyze risks, issues, and delivery constraints and develop practical mitigation and contingency plans that support strategic outcomes.
- Experience in change management and adoption, ensuring current cloud solutions are embedded into processes, supported by training, and aligned with organizational strategic goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience in technical program delivery.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure, project or program management, Agile) are highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site with clients and teams in Adelaide
