About The Role

Canberra Health Services is looking for a finance professional who enjoys leading and developing a team to join its Revenue and Hospital Financial Services section at The Canberra Hospital.

You’ll run the team’s day-to-day operations and provide financial leadership across a broad range of finance functions. You’ll make sure transactions are processed accurately and on time, and that service standards are met. You’ll also be the go-to person for complex enquiries, payment issues and account discrepancies.

What You’ll Do

- Lead, coach and mentor your team, and build a collaborative, customer-focused culture.
- Manage workload allocation, workforce planning and team priorities so the team meets its KPIs.
- Oversee financial transaction processing, and review and authorise transactions within your delegation.
- Resolve complex financial enquiries, payment issues and account discrepancies.
- Analyse and report on financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Support internal and external audits, and put recommendations into place that strengthen governance and compliance.
