Contracts Manager Commercial Construction | Perth CBD | National Building Company

Are you an experienced Contracts Manager ready to take the next step and make a genuine impact within a growing commercial construction business?

We are partnering with a well-established national building company to appoint a proven Contracts Manager to join its Perth management team.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of the commercial function, lead a team of Contract Administrators and Cadets, and contribute ideas that improve the way the business operates.

The Role Working closely with the General Manager, Project Director and Estimating Manager, you will oversee the commercial delivery of projects ranging from $2 million to $30 million across commercial fitouts, refurbishments and new builds.

You will play a key role in leading the commercial team, maintaining strong financial and contractual controls, and ensuring projects are delivered successfully.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and develop a team of Contract Administrators and Cadets.

- Oversee commercial and contractual management across multiple projects.

- Manage procurement, subcontractor negotiations and contract administration.

- Monitor project costs, variations, claims and financial performance.

- Work closely with the senior management team on commercial strategy.

- Identify opportunities to improve systems,



processes and commercial outcomes.

- Build robust relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

- Promote a collaborative and accountable team environment.

About You
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within commercial construction.

- Strong background in fitout, refurbishment and new build projects.

- Experience managing projects ranging from $2 million to $30 million.

- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop Contract Administrators.

- Strong commercial acumen and contractual knowledge.

- A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge existing processes and introduce new ideas.

- Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
